We must make brave choices representing out of the box thinking and emphasize the basics, literacy and math.
My candidacy for the school board is important because time is critical. If we do not make bold choices as a district very soon, we may never be able to turn this ship around.

As you can see below, District 300 School Board isn’t doing a good job of their primary mission – which is to make sure that students can read and write and do math at an acceptable level and prepare students to succeed in life.

"Hold on, hope is coming."

Parental Rights
Parents have the right to know what their children are being taught while on school premises.

They should have the right to opt out of sessions that promote things that are not in line with their values. Parents should be allowed religious exemptions guaranteed to them by the Constitution of this country, and to opt out of vaccinations that go against their beliefs.
I will stand for total transparency and accountability to the public to ensure this outcome.

Embrace Teachers,
Not the Unions
I am the candidate that stands with teachers who are overworked, over mandated and ready to quit.

Teachers are bearing the crushing weight new mandates. They are being asked to do more, while at the same time being put under the stress of constant changes to reading series, testing instruments, Information storage platforms, and other stressors.
District data shows our teachers are using their sick days at an alarming rate. 50% of teachers were absent 10 or more times last year. Some would say, “This is shameful!” I say, “I wonder why this is.”
Upon investigation, I found that many teachers are discouraged and getting ready to quit. I talked to one teacher who said, “I think about quitting several times a week.” If our school board does not address these issues, we will lose some of our best teachers.
Many teachers have found that the union to which they paid large sums of money has no solutions for the problems they face.
As a teacher of 30 years, I do not want our best to quit. I will fight for them. It would be catastrophic for our district if the current teacher shortage resulted in having to say during a job interview, “You have a pulse – you’re hired!
